The Mad Kentucky Derby Scramble....

Perfect is the only way to describe the weather for Denis Farley's annual Mad Kentucky Derby Scramble.  There was a nice turnout and congrats to winner Dan Vought.  Dan had a big lead for most of the race but Randy almost caught up to him on the last upwind leg, followed closely by Denis.  I don't think Randy's spinnaker helped him too much but it sure did entertain us spectators on the second floor deck.  The video is up and it's one of my favorites - a definite stress buster.

The yard was a bevy of activity during the afternoon between N10 sailors taking their boats out of the water while the students in the Level 1 course were rigging and putting their lasers in the water.

Sunday brought strong winds and cool temperatures.  This didn't stop Ted with Paul and Hodge as crew and George with Dale and Art from racing.  By the time they got out there, the wind had died down a bit and they had three great races.  The video (to be up shortly) is pure rock and roll - literally.
